Kangal Harinath Majumder, the pioneer of rural journalism, was born in Kumarkhali Kundupara area of ​​Kushtia. He used to publish newspapers as Gramabarta Prakashika and then wrote it in the first hand and then Kangal Coutures Thaped 'Mathuranath Press or MN Press'. At that time, the publication of the protesting journal from Oj Pargaon Press was a donation to the responsibility of journalism towards country-society and culture. This newspaper was a protesting voice against the exploitation of British rulers of that time and zamindars. Educator and social reformer Kangal Harinath established a girls' school in Kumarkhali and taught without a salary. In the case of literature, this man's contribution is outstanding.
