1. Shilaidh is an area located in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia district of southwest Bangladesh. It is located in Kuthibari, which is remembered by the poet Rabindranath Tagore. Rabindranath spent a remarkable time of his youth here. Padma river flows by the side of Shilaidaha Kathibari. Shilaidaha, a village in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia district. The eastern name of the village, Khorshedpur, with the name of the Padma river. Rabindranath's grandfather Prince Dwarkanath Tagore received zamindari in 1807. Later in 1889 Rabindranath Tagore came here as a landlord. Here he administers zamindari till 1901. At this time, he wrote his famous book, Sonar Tari, Chitra, Chaitali, Gitanjali etc. Jagdish Chandra Bose, Dwijendralal Roy, Pramath Chowdhury and many others have come here to meet Rabindranath.


2. Bagha Jatin was born in Kaya village of Kushtia district. His father's name is Umeshchandra Mukherjee and mother's name is Sharashshi. In Jhenaidah district, he spent his childhood in ancestral home. His father died at the age of 5. With his mother and elder sister, Binodabala, he went to Matamah's house in Kagagram. Jitin was famous for his physical strength since childhood. With only a dagger, he was able to kill a tiger alone, because his name was changed to Bagha Jatin.
