Kuthibari of Shilaidaha, the poet of Guru Gobind Rabindranath Tagore
In the end of 18th century, Rabindranath Tagore's Dakarkanath Thakur purchased Shilaidaha Zamindari and built Kuthibari in 1813. Dwijendranath, Jyoti Bindra Nath, Hemendranath, Satyendranath Tagore and many of Tagore's descendants live here in Padma Gaur. Basically this house was built to look after zoning activities. At that time, in the Tagore family, Shilaidah of Kushtia; There were three zamindari in Patasar and Pabna Shahjadpur in Natore. In the family order, Rabindranath came to manage zamindari in Shilaidah.
This Kuthibari is situated 7 kilometers away from Kumarkhali Shah. Here are the zilla bungalows of the district council. There are peon and night watch.
Tego & Company (Tegure Lodge)
Rabindranath Tagore engaged himself in business in 1895. With the help of Surendranath and Siddhnath, he and his two nephews jointly organized joint capital business in Tegora and Company at Shilaidah. In that year, Tego and Company shifted from Shilaidah to Kushtia for business convenience. For the maintenance of the company, the poet constructed a two-storied building in the city's Millpara. The poets, who sit here, write numerous poems which were later published in "Chintaika", story and story. At present, the building is also a tourist spot.

Spiritualist Lalan Shah received shelter in Kumarkhali of Chhuria and afterwards, after his death in Chuuria, a reconnaissance area (Akhra) was developed on the place of his tomb. Gopinath Jyu Temple
In the city of Kushtia in 1900, the temple was constructed by the local traders with the money collected by the Pramath Bhushan Devra, the Maharaja of Naldanga, in Jessore district. In 1905, Maharaja Pramath Bhojan introduced the current Rathkhola Gopinath Geor Temple and Rath Mela for the sake of his wife's memory. In 1913, a wealthy businessman Makhan Rai built a brilliantly made bronze chariot styled by Apurba Karukarya, which was the only charioteer of entire India.
Mir Mosharraf Hossain's conviction
Bishad Sindhu is the author of Bengali literature, one of the best novelists of Mir Mosharraf Hossain, Bastavita of Lakhnipara of Kumarkhali upazila. There is a primary school, a secondary school and a small library. Recently on 17th October 2008, according to Mir Mosharraf Hossain, a library and auditorium for the implementation of district council Kushtia, with the cost of Tk 54 lakh for the local government department, will be laid foundation stone of the Honorable Cabinet Secretary Mr. Ali Imam Majumder.
