Functions of Upazila Parishad

Five-year and various periodic development plans

• To implement the program of various government departments handed over to the council and to supervise and coordinate the activities of the offices.

• Construction, repair and maintenance of cross-link connecting roads

• Upazila Parishad Small Irrigation Project, according to the government's directive to ensure optimum use of ground water resources

    Accept and implement

• Ensuring public health, nutrition and family planning services

• Promote sanitation and sanitation and provide drinking water for drinking water

· Preparation for five-year and various periodic development plans.

· To implement the programs of various government departments transferred to the council and to supervise the work of the department and

· Conducting various agreements to implement the work by the Council.

· The formation of various committees and sub-committees.

Review the law and order situation in the upazila.

· Review of the relief and rehabilitation work of the upazila.

· Approval of work plan and estimate approved by Upazila Parishad.

· To review, monitor and evaluate the progress of all types of development work implemented.

· The implementation review of all the decisions taken by the council.

· Other matters related to public interest.

Citizen service: Upazila Parishad is basically the upazila nirbahi officer's office and other offices such as Upazila Education Office, Upazila Agriculture Office, Local Government Engineering Department, Upazila Community Service Directorate, Upazila Cooperative Directorate, Upazila Youth Development Office, Upazila Rural Development Office, Upazila Project Implementation Office, Upazila Fisheries Office, Upazila Women Affairs Department, etc., through almost all kinds of offices Citizen service is provided.
